Join Us for Our 2025 Annual Conference “Strength in Uncertainty: Growing Mental Health Resilience!”

In 2025, we are thrilled to celebrate a quarter-century of empowering voices and fostering mental health resilience. As part of this incredible milestone, we invite you to our Annual Conference: “Strength in Uncertainty: Growing Mental Health Resilience,” on Thursday, May 15, 2025—a virtual event designed to inspire, connect, and strengthen our community.

This year’s theme, “Strength in Uncertainty: Growing Mental Health Resilience,” could not be more relevant. Life’s unpredictability can be challenging, but together, we can explore tools and strategies to navigate change with confidence, self-compassion, and mindfulness. Whether you’re a peer expert, mental health advocate, or someone on your own journey of resilience, this conference is for you.

Loneliness is a universal human experience, yet it often feels deeply personal and isolating. Your passion for improving mental health services in Virginia has helped drive meaningful progress toward system-wide improvements for those with lived experience. We appreciate the time you have taken to join our advocacy calls, read our blogs, and contact your legislators on issues that are important to the mental health community. While the regular session has officially ended, your voice still matters! You can continue to make an impact by sharing your thoughts with Governor Youngkin on key issues—just click here. You may also reach out to your legislator by clicking here.

As part of Vocal Virginia’s ongoing efforts to address issues related to individual rights, decriminalizing mental health challenges, and reducing the stigma associated with mental health concerns, we have advocated for a variety of bills related to these topics this session. This session has seen several important efforts to decriminalize mental health challenges and create a more compassionate justice system.
